Share

The Children’s Bureau of Southern California is seeking foster parents who will provide short- or long-term care for babies, toddlers and school-age children.

Those interested are invited to attend a special orientation session Tuesday at Lampson Elementary School in Garden Grove. The session will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the school, 13321 Lampson Ave.

The Children’s Bureau is especially looking for Spanish-speaking foster parents who are willing to work with children and their biological parents.

Those selected as foster parents will receive training, certification and funding to aid in caring for the children, officials at the Children’s Bureau said.

They said thousands of Orange County children are reported as abused or neglected each year and most could benefit from being placed in the care of loving foster families.

Anyone interested in becoming a foster parent is asked to call (714) 385-9025.
