COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Fullerton Scores Nine Runs in First in Rout of UNLV

Mike Parisi struck out six and gave up five hits to help lead Cal State Fullerton over Nevada Las Vegas, 16-1, in a Big West Conference game Friday night at Cal State Fullerton.
The Titans (29-8, 7-3) scored nine runs in the first inning.
Leading the Titans’ offense was left fielder Mark Kotsay, who had a double, a triple, four runs batted in and scored three runs.
In nonconference baseball:
Westmont 10, Chapman 4--Paul Halpin had two hits and scored a run for host Chapman (10-24-1).
In nonconference softball:
USC 10, Irvine Valley 7--Jennifer Forst had three hits and three RBIs, Patty Soto added four hits and two RBIs and Maegan Juggert had three hits and two RBIs for Irvine Valley (1-27).
In Golden State Athletic Conference women’s tennis:
Southern California College 6, Biola 3--Wendy Andel beat Alissa Rogers, 6-0, 6-4, at No. 1 singles, and teamed with Jocelyn Rogers to win, 6-4, 7-5, at No. 1 doubles for visiting SCC (9-13).
