Three Sign to Play Basketball for Titans

Cal State Fullerton has received letters of intent from two community college basketball players and one high school player.

The two community college players are Ali Nayab, a 5-9 point guard from Southwestern College in San Diego, and Chuck Overton, a 6-3 swing player from Salt Lake College in Salt Lake City. Nayab averaged 14 points and 12.1 assists last season; Overton averaged 23 points.

The high school player is John Williams (6-5) of Rialto High School. He averaged 15 points in his senior season.

Leticia Oseguera, a 5-11 forward from Mater Dei, and Sabrina Roberson, a 5-8 guard from Richard King High in Corpus Christi, Tex., have signed letters of intent to play basketball at UC Irvine, Anteater Coach Colleen Matsuhara announced.

Oseguera averaged 19 points and 10 rebounds and was the South Coast League’s most valuable player last season.

Jeff Nichols, a diving standout at Laguna Hills High, has signed a letter of intent to attend Irvine, Anteater diving Coach Conni Pomeroy said. Nichols was a four-time Pacific Coast League diving champion and won two Southern Section diving titles.
