COLLEGE BASEBALL WORLD SERIES : Fullerton Will Open Against Georgia Tech

Cal State Fullerton was seeded seventh and will face second-seeded Georgia Tech Friday at 12:36 p.m. PDT in the first game of the College World Series.

Miami was seeded No. 1 and will open against Arizona State on Saturday at 10:06 a.m. in a CBS game.

ESPN will televise the Fullerton-Georgia Tech game on Friday.

In the second game Friday, defending champion Louisiana State (46-18), seeded No. 3, plays No. 6 Florida State (52-20) at 4:36 p.m., also on ESPN.

In the second game Saturday, No. 4 Oklahoma (46-17) goes against No. 5 Auburn (44-19) at 4:36 p.m., live on ESPN2 and delayed at 9 p.m. on ESPN.

ESPN will carry the remaining games leading up to the championship on Saturday, June 11, which will be televised by CBS. Three of the ESPN games will be tape-delayed, but those games will be televised live on ESPN2.

Miami was the only team ranked in the top five by Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball at the start of regional play to advance to the College World Series. Miami was ranked No. 2 by Collegiate Baseball and No. 4 by Baseball America.
