23 Hurt in MTA Bus Crash
Twenty-three people were injured--two of them seriously--when a Metropolitan Transit Authority bus collided with a small truck on Valley Boulevard in La Puente on Monday afternoon, county fire officials said.
MTA spokesman Greg Davy said the No. 44 bus, en route from Downtown Los Angeles to Ontario Airport, tried to veer to avoid the crash.
There were 34 passengers on the bus. Fourteen of the injured were taken to three nearby hospitals.
