Sheriff’s deputies arrested a second man and a teen-ager Saturday in connection with the slaying of an angler and the wounding of another during a robbery at Big Bear Lake this month.

Daniel Gibson, 19, and a 17-year-old boy, both of Fontana, were arrested about 12:50 a.m. The two were found asleep in a friend’s apartment in Ontario, said Deputy Laurie Savage, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Gibson was being held without bail at West Valley Detention Center, and the teen-ager was booked into San Bernardino’s juvenile hall, Savage said.

A complaint alleging one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder and one count of robbery will be submitted Monday to the San Bernardino district attorney and juvenile authorities, the deputy said.

Jeffory Paxton, 25, of Rancho Cucamonga was arrested June 10. He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.

Investigators were still trying to determine who may have been the gunman, Savage said. They do not expect to make more arrests.

The June 8 shooting occurred as four fishermen who drove up from the Los Angeles area were resting in their car by Boulder Bay.

The fishermen told deputies a man knocked on the window about 5 a.m., drew a gun and demanded their money. He was handed a wallet, but opened fire at the car.

Killed was Armen Shakkharamian, 47, of Montebello. He was a recent immigrant from Moscow. Sarkis Aylozlan, 28, of North Hollywood was recovering after surgery for a gunshot wound.

Savage said one of the other anglers was grazed by a bullet.

Paxton is the registered owner of a 1976 Oldsmobile that crashed after the killing on California 18 about five miles from where the shooting occurred.

A wallet from one of the fishermen was found in Paxton’s car, police said. A motorist passing the wreck gave a ride to three men before roadblocks could be set up, authorities said.

“Through interviews we were able to place Gibson and the juvenile with Paxton before the incident and after the incident,” Savage said.
