PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Lineman Powers Re-signs; Collins Cut
The door to the Raider training camp in Oxnard is swinging both ways.
Coming in Monday after signing were defensive lineman Warren Powers, a former Ram, and safety/special teams player Joe King.
Going out was receiver Shawn Collins, who failed his physical.
Powers is a five-year veteran out of Maryland who was drafted by the Denver Broncos and played for the Rams in 1992 and ’93. He was signed by the Raiders before last season’s playoffs, but never played. Powers was cut last month, then re-signed Monday.
King, a three-year veteran out of Oklahoma State, has previously played for the Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Defensive lineman Jerry Ball, signed as a free agent last month, is expected to report to Oxnard tonight. He had been excused from the first few days of practice because of a prior commitment.
