Man Dies After Traffic Collision
WOODLAND HILLS —
A 45-year-old man was killed after he drove through a Woodland Hills intersection and struck another car, police said Sunday.
Boruei Chen of Studio City ran a red light at De Soto Avenue and Oxnard Street on Saturday morning and hit Elvira Ortega’s car as she attempted a left turn, said Sgt. Glen Wiggins of LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division. Chen’s car then continued on and hit a light pole, he said.
Chen died at Kaiser Permanente Hospital an hour later, a coroner’s spokesman said. Ortega sustained minor injuries.
