Via Borghese Never Headed in Winning Diana Handicap

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Via Borghese led from start in scoring a two-length victory over Blazing Kadie in the $138,350 Diana Handicap at Saratoga on Sunday.
Via Borghese, a 5-year-old daughter of Seattle Dancer-Angela Serra who was ridden by Jose Santos, covered 1 1/8 miles on the inner turf course in 1:52.
Blazing Kadie, who started on the outside in the field of seven, pressed the pace and finished second. It was another length back to Coronation Cup.
Via Borghese earned $83,010 for Malcolm E. Parrish and returned $11.80, $6.60 and $3.80. Blazing Kadie paid $16.60 and $6.00 and Coronation Cup returned $5.00.
