Police continued to search for a third suspect in the weekend shooting death of a local 19-year-old man who was attacked after he “exchanged looks” with his killers, authorities said.

Two others who allegedly participated in the Friday-night shooting--20-year-old Anne Marie Barajas of North Hollywood and a 15-year-old girl from Sun Valley--were booked on suspicion of murder shortly after the incident, said Detective Mike Langston of the San Fernando Police Department. The girl’s name was not released because of her age.

Langston said Javier Rodriguez of San Fernando was in a mini-mall in the 1000 block of North Maclay Street about 9:15 p.m. Friday when he was approached by two women and a man in a car. Witnesses told police Rodriguez was shot following a verbal exchange with the people in the car.

Police arrested Barajas and the 15-year-old, who are not related, after locating the vehicle believed to have been used in the incident, Langston said.

Langston said the two did not appear to know Rodriguez, but that “there was an exchange of looks between the suspect and the victim.”
