A 23-year-old woman was killed Saturday morning on the Golden State Freeway when the driver of the car she was riding in lost control of the vehicle and collided with a truck, authorities said.

May Wong of Fresno was with three other family members heading south on the Golden State Freeway when the 9:12 accident occurred north of Vista Del Lago Road, said Officer Kerri Hawkins of the California Highway Patrol. The car caromed off the center railing and hit the truck broadside.

Two of Wong’s relatives, whose names were not released, were treated and released from Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said. The third relative was listed in serious condition.
