Instead celebrate them with the determined Jody Fickes, proprietor of the nationally recognized Adventures for Kids, who introduces the children of our community to writers and artists who create lovely books. The events in the bookstore are more than just story hours to entertain tots; they are the beginning of literary traditions for the next generation. Carmen Deedy will read from “The Library Dragon” at 9:30 a.m. Friday. Margy Burns Knight and Anne Sibley O’Brien will introduce their new book “Welcoming Babies” at 3 p.m. Saturday.
