Sunny Hills kept its playoff hopes alive with a 40-10 victory over La Habra in a Freeway League game Friday night at La Habra High.

La Habra took a 10-0 lead into the second quarter. But then Sunny Hills scored touchdowns on six consecutive possessions, led by three rushing touchdowns from junior Chris Velotta.

“This year we’ve had a lot of games decided by seven or less points,” Sunny Hills Coach Tim Devaney said. “It was nice to see our offense open up and score the way we did.”
