PREP GIRLS’ TENNIS PLAYOFFS

In Division II girls’ tennis:

Villa Park 14, Victory Valley 4--In No. 1 singles, Villa Park’s Faye DeVera defeated Julie Banks, 6-2, 6-1, 6-0, and the Spartans’ No. 1 double’s team of Jill Riley and Shawna Lerer won their sets, 6-2, 6-0, 6-0. Villa Park will play Los Alamitos, the only team that defeated the Spartans this season, in a second-round match at 2 this afternoon at Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach.
