Charlene Conley led the Panthers with 23 kills.

Sunny Hills Coach Ron Kasser said his team prevailed with timely passing and clutch serving, elements he felt the Lancers lacked in the early going.

“We stress ball control, passing and defense, and we lost a lot of points early that we made up for in the end,” Kasser said.

The Lancers gained momentum in the fourth game, taking a 9-1 lead on Coopman’s serve and Shannon Rosenkranz’s four kills. After Orange climbed back into the game trailing, 14-12, Catlin responded with a hard sideline spike on Coopman’s serve to even the match at two games.
