OUTLOOK

Moving from the Sea View League, where they finished third, the Trojans have lost their top seven players, including two-time Orange County scoring leader Demitrius Zeigler and school assist record holder Ali Amiri. Dinneen is going with a young team out of necessity and he is especially excited about the two freshmen, Sears and Palmer, who he says might be among the best freshmen in the county. “They certainly look like freshmen, but they play a lot older,” he said. Both are quick and should fit in nicely in the Trojans’ pressure defense and get-it-up-the-floor offense. Palmer is the point guard; Sears is a wing. McKee, a defensive end on the football team, provides bulk inside and Scoggin is the team’s best shooter.
