Trabuco Hills, Senior
Football / Quarterback
Collins had an inauspicious start in Trabuco Hills’ Division I quarterfinal against Long Beach Jordan Friday. Two possessions, two turnovers: an interception and a fumbled snap. But Collins bounced back, completing 13 of 15 passes for 250 yards and three touchdowns in the Mustangs’ 35-8 victory. “He read the blitz a couple times, and he did a great job getting the ball to the tight ends,” Coach Jim Barnett said. “I think he completed something like seven passes for 180 yards to the tight ends.” Next up: top-seeded La Puente Bishop Amat.
