NOT RAM ENOUGH: As the Los Angeles Rams count down (maybe) till departing for other pastures, have you wondered how they’ve fared since they became an Anaheim team in 1980? Right now for those 15 years they’re at 109-120--with no Super Bowl appearances under the Big A banner. . . . PARTY POOPER? The police become a worry if you party too loudly. But in Newport Beach--if Police Chief Robert J. McDonell gets his way--you’d better worry if one of your renters parties a little too much. McDonell presents to the City Council on Monday a report recommending civil fines for either renters or owners of homes where the police are called to quiet a party. . . . Owners could be fined as much as $300 if the police have to make repeated disturbance calls within a year to the same address.

WALE OF A NIGHT: If you’re doing an evening of Welsh Christmas performances, you have to start with famous Welsh writer Dylan Thomas. His “Child’s Christmas in Wales” will be read during “A Welsh Christmas” at the Garden Grove Historical Society, 12174 Euclid Ave., tonight and Monday at 7:30. . . . The show features many cast members from the old Grove Shakespeare, such as Danny Oberbeck, above. That Shakespeare troupe had put on the Dylan Thomas story each Christmas for seven years.

HEAD OF HER CLASS: It was grad night for a class of one last week at Brea Canyon High School. District board members signed the diploma for Marlo Ortiz, who completed her course work through approved independent study. . . . Ortiz says it was important that she graduate before Dec. 15, when she turns 19: “I had a goal to be out before my birthday. This is my birthday present to myself.” School officials couldn’t remember any other student graduating early like that, but praised her for meeting her goal and wished her well.
