THOUSAND OAKS : Reward Offered in Rape, Robbery

Ventura County Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of two men who raped and robbed a Pasadena woman after kidnaping her in Thousand Oaks.

The 32-year-old woman was driving her van to work in Thousand Oaks about 6:30 a.m. Sept. 6 when a faded brown 14-year-old Chevrolet Impala stopped in front of her at Townsgate Road and Westlake Boulevard, Ventura County sheriff’s deputies said.

Two Latino men left their dented car, got into the woman’s van and pushed her into the back as they drove to an unknown area, where they raped her, deputies said.

The men later forced the woman out of the van at the Ventura Freeway and Topanga Canyon Boulevard in Woodland Hills, then sped away.

One man, about 25, was described as being of medium build, about 5-foot-11 and wearing a ponytail and full beard, with a blue tattoo on his left arm. The other, about 30, was described as stocky, about 5-foot-7, with a mustache and wearing a Casio watch. Both have black hair.

Anyone with information about the crime is urged to call 494-TALK. Callers may remain anonymous.

If the information leads to an arrest and the filing of a criminal complaint, the caller could be eligible for a reward of as much as $1,000.
