Nelson, from Dana Hills High, has established herself early this season for Saddleback. Nelson averaged four points and four rebounds last season but has been posting much better numbers this season. She had 40 points and 37 rebounds in three games, helping the Gauchos to a third-place finish last weekend in the Coast Christmas Classic. Her best performance came against Los Angeles Trade Tech, when she scored 20 points and had 12 rebounds in the Gauchos’ 48-47 victory.

* Orange Coast, freshman. She had 47 points and 32 rebounds in three games as the Pirates won the consolation championship of their tournament.
