Rustica Ridge Wins Hollywood Park Feature

Rustica Ridge, an 8-1 shot ridden by Eddie Delahoussaye, came from far off the pace Thursday to win the $35,000 feature race at Hollywood Park by 1 1/4 lengths over Leasears.

Rustica Ridge, carrying 117 pounds, covered 1 1/8 miles on Hollywood Park’s turf course in 1:52 and paid $19.80, $8.20 and $4.80.

The victory was one of three on the day for Delahoussaye.

Leasears, ridden by Gary Stevens and carrying 115 pounds, finished a half-length ahead of Slick Silk and returned $4.80 and $3.

Slick Silk, ridden by Chris Antley and carrying 114 pounds, was three-quarters of a length in front of 19-10 favorite Musical Pal and paid $3.80 to show.
