THE BOWLS DAILY REPORT : ORANGE : Erickson Has ‘No Interest’ in Seahawks
Miami Coach Dennis Erickson, rumored to be a leading candidate for the Seattle Seahawks’ job if Tom Flores is fired, said Tuesday he has “no interest” in going to the NFL.
“College football is what I want to do,” Erickson said. “I’d like to win a few more national championships here.”
Monday, Erickson walked out of an interview after practice when asked about the Seattle situation.

Nebraska Coach Tom Osborne plans to announce Thursday whether Brook Berringer or Tommie Frazier will be his starting quarterback Sunday.
“They both practiced pretty well (Tuesday),” Osborne said. “After tomorrow’s practice, I’ll talk to them. . . . and we’ll probably say something the next day.”
Frazier started Nebraska’s first four games before being sidelined because of blood clots in his right leg. Berringer then took over and led the top-ranked Cornhuskers to eight victories in a row.
