Texas A&M; Beats Loyola on Boards

Texas A&M; out-rebounded Loyola Marymount at both ends of the court Wednesday night and defeated the Lions, 78-65, before 2,647 at College Station, Tex.
The Aggies controlled the boards throughout the game, grabbing 44 rebounds to 31 for the Lions.
Forward Joe Wilbert led Texas A&M; (6-7) with 22 points and nine rebounds, and Damon Johnson added 18 points and five rebounds. Wyking Jones scored 16 points and Mike O’Quinn 10 points for Loyola (7-4).
“A&M; was much more aggressive in the game than they have been all season,” Loyola Coach John Olive said. “This showed in both defense and offense but more in their defense.”
