Morbley, from Pomona High, had a big week and Orange Coast had its biggest week in three seasons in the Orange Empire Conference. Morbley, a forward, scored 56 points as the Pirates won two of three games. The two victories are only one short of the Pirates’ conference total last season. He made 14 of 18 shots from the field and finished with 29 points as OCC beat Cypress, 74-66, Friday. He also had 13 rebounds. He had 14 points and 15 rebounds as the Pirates beat Golden West, 65-61, Jan. 9.
