Brea Olinda played most of the first half without Kyoko Miller and Jennifer Saari, who were in foul trouble, and Dawn Metz was battling the flu, but in the end the Ladycats (25-2) pulled it together to overwhelm Kennedy, 85-31, Saturday night at Brea Olinda High.

“We were a bit rusty at the start and it showed,” said Brea Olinda Coach Jeff Sink, whose team scored 15 points in the first quarter.

Lee Moulin paced the Ladycats with 22 points and Metz, who scored only two points in the first half, had 18 in the second half to finish with 20.
