Presidents’ Golf Game

* Your front-page photo (Feb. 16) of the three presidents is priceless--made my day. How great they can get together for golf--and disagree on everything else. It proves to me that we are producing quality. We need it all, with the problems of the states and federal government.

* John Kelley’s (alias Newt Gingrich) “comedian” comment (letters, Feb. 20) on the golf foursome, Bob Hope, George Bush, Gerald Ford and President Clinton was sick and sad.

I know that only in the good old U.S.A. would you see two former presidents and the current President playing golf together. That’s what the foursome photograph meant to me.
