Facts and Figures: El Dorado’s Chris Beck and Trent Cuevas were first-team all-league selections. The Golden Hawks also return pitcher Don Jamieson, who was 10-1 and a first-team all-league selection. El Dorado sophomore Kennedy’s Charlie Marino is a four-year letterman. He hit .297 with seven home runs and 23 runs batted in. . . . Cypress junior Bobby Brito hit .349 and was a first-team all-league selection. . . . Katella’s Drake Gustafson was a first-team all-league pick. . . . Richard Cevallos, Christian Duran and Art Tapia are Century’s top returning players. . . . Loara’s Kevin France was 4-4 with one save.

Highlights: Jaret Wright was named the player of the year. He was also the Cleveland Indians’ first-round pick. He threw the league’s only no-hitter and led the county in strikeouts. . . . El Dorado lost to La Crescenta Crescenta Valley, 4-3, in the Division I quarterfinal. . . . . Katella lost to eventual finalist Lakewood, 14-1, in the second round. . . . Esperanza lost to eventual champion Fountain Valley in the second round.
