OXNARD : Annual Game to Pit Teen-Agers, the Law

Law enforcement authorities from Ventura, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties will square off Saturday in Oxnard against a team of local high school students in the second annual Cops vs. Jocks basketball game.
The game, a fund-raiser for the Tri-Counties Cops and Jocks sport programs, will take place at Channel Islands High School in Oxnard.
Police officers from Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Ventura and Santa Paula will team up with sheriff’s deputies from Los Angeles and Ventura counties to play basketball against a hand-picked team of high school athletes.
Admission is $3; free for children under 12.
