First Major Track Invitational Is Saturday

The Irvine Invitational, which begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Irvine High, will feature 24 local high school track and field teams competing in the season’s first invitational to include individual events and relay races.

County powers Capistrano Valley, El Toro, Esperanza, Santa Margarita and Woodbridge are among the schools entering boys’ and girls’ teams. Mission Viejo will participate in girls’ events only.
