Sleeping Woman Killed by Out-of-Control Car
ANAHEIM —
A 43-year-old woman, apparently homeless and camped by the side of the Costa Mesa Freeway, was killed early Tuesday when a car jumped the curb of an exit ramp, the coroner’s office said.
Officials have not released the name of the woman, who died at the scene.
The car was going south on the freeway exit at Tustin Street at about 3 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol, which is handling the case, had no information about whether the driver stopped at the scene or was arrested or cited.
