In the Division II Orange County boys’ volleyball championships:

Tustin 2, Foothill 0--Setter Greg Logan had 27 assists for Tustin, which won, 15-5, 15-11, in the Division II final. Logan tallied 350 assists in 12 games, helping the Tillers to their first tournament title. Tustin went undefeated in pool play.

In the Garden Grove softball tournament:

Dana Hills 3, University 0--Beccy Gordon had three hits for Dana Hills.

San Clemente 3, Los Alamitos 2 (8)--Mel Naylon drove in the winning run on a groundout in the bottom of the eight inning for San Clemente (6-1).

University 2, La Quinta 0--Kristin Scarborough led off the seventh inning with a triple for University (2-1), and catcher Alison Pan doubled her home. Pan was sacrificed to third and scored on a fielder’s choice by Kristin Rowberg.

In nonleague softball:

La Habra 6-3, Pasadena Maranatha 0-0--Christy Turner recorded seven strikeouts in a one-hit shutout in the first game for La Habra (4-0). Aimee Weathers and Jenny Topping hit back-to-back home runs in the second game for the Highlanders.

In boys’ track:

Capistrano Valley captures first in Division I--Capistrano Valley won three field events and finished strong on the track to take the Division I championship at the Katella Relays. Katella finished second and Saddleback held off Fountain Valley and Irvine for third.

In Division II, Cypress edged Canyon, which came on strong in the field events. Santa Ana Valley finished third.

In Division III, University dominated in the field, winning five of the six events to take the division. Magnolia finished a close second and Santiago took third.

In girls’ track:

Mission Viejo captures Division I--Mission Viejo held off a late charge in the field by Fountain Valley to win the Division I competition at the Katella Relays. Saddleback and Fountain Valley tied for second.

In Division II, Orange Lutheran posted the highest team score (85) of any division, followed by Rosary and Katella.

In Division III, Anaheim was first in six of 11 events to win the division. Colonists high jumper Patty Chau cleared 5 feet 2 inches for the highest individual total in the event.

Sonora and Pacifica finished second and third.
