SIMI VALLEY : Man, 23, Arrested in Father’s Slaying
Police have arrested a 23-year-old Simi Valley man in connection with the bludgeoning death of his father in Burbank, authorities said Saturday.
Joseph A. Hollis was being held on suspicion of killing Michael E. Hollis, 53, in the elder man’s home Friday in the 300 block of North Maple Street, said Lt. Duane Dow of the Burbank Police Department.
Dow said the victim had been beaten to death with a blunt object.
Police arrested the younger Hollis at his workplace in North Hollywood less than an hour after they were called to the Burbank scene, Dow said.
Hollis was being held on $1-million bail and is scheduled for arraignment on Tuesday in Burbank Municipal Court.
