Chris Reed, a former Katella High pitcher, was kicked off the Cincinnati Reds Wednesday after being arrested on charges of drunk driving and leaving the scene of an accident in Florida.

Reed, 21, who graduated from Katella in 1991, was in a Hillsborough County jail on charges of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident involving an injury. He remains under a minor league contract.
