Angry Boy, 5, Sets Fire That Levels His House
A 5-year-old boy angry at his mother for not fixing his breakfast set his dresser on fire and in the process burned down his house, fire officials said.
Officials said that the child used matches to set the dresser on fire Friday and then went back into the living room to watch TV with his 2-year-old sibling. His mother, Alvina Barela, was asleep but was awakened by the smoke. She found the children still watching television while smoke billowed over their heads. She pushed them out of the house, officials said.
No one was injured, but the house and its contents were destroyed.
