Unranked Troy upset No. 9 Sunny Hills, 10-0, in a Freeway League baseball game Friday at Troy.

Kevin Gray (2-1) pitched a one-hitter and struck out 10, in a game in which everyone in Troy’s starting lineup got a hit. Kevin Norcross, Adam McMillan and Rob Connell doubled. Troy improves to 5-5-2, 2-3-2.

In another Freeway League game:

Buena Park 9, Fullerton 6--Pitcher Carlos Bravo gave up one hit and struck out six over 3 1/3 innings for Buena Park (5-4-1, 3-3-1). Teammate Richie Pohle was four for four with four runs batted in.

In the Academy League:

Capistrano Valley Christian 11, St. Margaret’s 5--Sean De La Torre was three for three with two runs scored and three RBIs for Capistrano Valley Christian (4-5, 2-1). Matt Davenport was two for three with three runs scored for the Eagles.

Liberty Christian 18, St. Michael’s 1 (5)--Liberty Christian (7-4, 3-0) remains the only undefeated team in the Academy League. Bryan Davis went three for three with a double and four RBIs. Junior left-hander Ray Cook struck out 10, giving up one hit and one unearned run.

In the Arrowhead League:

Southern California Christian 4, Anza Hamilton 3 (10)--With the bases loaded in the top of the 10th, Southern California Christian (7-5, 2-0) scored when a walk forced in a run. With two outs and a full count, Mark Marquez singled up the middle, driving in Dustin Baker and giving Southern California a 4-2 lead. In the bottom of the 10th, Southern California gave up one run and with the bases loaded and two outs, pitcher Ron Wood struck out Rocky Meyer on three pitches for the victory. Marquez finished the day with two hits and three RBIs.

In the Century League:

Canyon 9, Villa Park 2--Jeff Leuenberger pitched a complete game, striking out four, and Scott Redfox went three for four with two doubles and three RBIs for Rosary (9-3, 4-2).

El Modena 13, Santa Ana Valley 11--Jude Chavez hit a two-run double in the top of the seventh to rally El Modena (4-6, 3-3) from a 11-9 deficit. Bobby Calderon was four for four, with four runs scored for Vanguards. Teammate Brett Bandel went three for three, including a home run, three runs scored and two RBIs. Mike Brown added two hits and four RBIs and picked up the victory in five innings of relief. Santa Ana Valley is 5-7, 3-3.

Orange 5, Foothill 4--Trailing, 4-3, in the seventh inning, Orange scored twice with two outs, the game-winner coming on Eric Mendoza’s grounder to short that was overthrown at first base enabling Brad Daniels to score. Daniels, who previously drove in the tying run, finished two for four with two RBIs for the Panthers (7-4, 5-1).

In the Golden West League:

Servite 9, Ocean View 3--John Goldsmith went two for three with two runs scored and two stolen bases and Greg Shaia went two for four with one RBI and one stolen base to lead Servite (8-6, 4-3). Ocean View is 4-8, 1-6.

Tustin 12, Saddleback 2--Aaron Gallegos went three for five with four RBIs and two runs scored for No. 10 Tustin (10-2-1, 6-1). Kevin Timone added two hits and two RBIs.

Westminster 9, Santa Ana 0--Linzey Koahoa went three for three, with three RBIs and a double for eighth-ranked Westminster (12-2, 6-1). Teammate Keith Bigelow added two hits and three RBIs. Kent Montgomery pitched a five-hit, complete-game shutout. Santa Ana is 5-7, 2-4.

In the Sunset League:

Fountain Valley 6, Huntington Beach 2 (9)--Roger Pechels’ two-out, grand slam in the top of the ninth gave the top-ranked barons (11-1-1, 6-1) the victory. With Fountain Valley leading, 2-0, Jason Bartusick hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth to tie the score, 2-2. Craig Ritter pitched a scoreless eighth inning to record his first victory of the season. Starter Dan Keller had eight strikeouts in seven innings.

Marina 8, Los Alamitos 4--David Titov was three for four with a double, home run and three RBIs for Marina (11-2, 6-1). Justin Lynch pitched 5 1/3 innings and struck out seven for the victory. The game ended with Marina lining into a triple play, shortstop to second to first.
