Ex-Raider Dixon Sues Agent for $1.5 Million

Alleging he lost $500,000 because of fraud, negligence and breach of contract, former Raider safety Rickey Dixon filed a $1.5-million suit Wednesday in Orange County Superior Court against Steve Feldman, the Newport Beach agent investigated by the NCAA last March in the recruiting of Arizona basketball star Damon Stoudamire.

Dixon, a first-round pick from Oklahoma by the Cincinnati Bengals in 1988, alleged Feldman mismanaged his money, including the use of his earnings to loan to college athletes as a recruitment tool in apparent violation of the NCAA’s extra-benefits rule. Dixon signed with the Green Bay Packers last month.

Stoudamire, one of college basketball’s best point guards, was suspended by Arizona officials for the last regular-season game after NCAA investigators found possible ties between Feldman and the player’s father.
