ROUNDUP : Bell Controls Its Own Fate in Conference

Share

BASEBALL

Bell clinched at least a tie for first place in the Southeastern Conference last week with wins over Locke and Roosevelt.

If Bell (24-2) defeats South Gate on Wednesday, the Eagles would win the conference title for the first time since 1987--the year the Eagles went on to win the City Section 3-A Division championship over Venice, 7-5.

A loss however would result in a tie with South Gate (21-5) and a co-championship.

Robert Gonzales hit a three-run home run and a three-run double for six RBIs in Bell’s 26-5 win over Locke on Tuesday.
