Freshman Rob McMillan hit 16 greens in regulation at Albuquerque in shooting a six-under 66 to boost New Mexico to the 36-hole team lead of the NCAA West Regional in Albuquerque.

New Mexico posted a team score of 13-under 275 in the second round to vault into the lead with a 36-hole total of 563.

New Mexico junior Mike Sauer shot a 69 to go with his first-round 68 to lead individual scoring by a shot over Chad Campbell of Nevada Las Vegas.
