Cancer: Study Needs Volunteers

UCLA researchers are seeking women ages 48 to 78 who have received surgical treatment for the early stages of breast cancer.

Volunteers would participate in a national study on nutrition and the recurrence of cancer. Sponsored by the National Cancer Institute, the study will compare two nutritional plans to determine which diet reduces the risk of breast cancer recurrence. UCLA is one of 20 centers nationwide taking part in the study.

To serve as volunteers, women must have undergone breast cancer surgery within a year of enrollment and the cancer must not have spread to other parts of the body.
