Do Riley’s Players Just Want to Have Fun?

Can you imagine what it must be like to be coached by Pat Riley?

If you win by five, you’re told that it should have been by 10.

If you score 25 points, you’re given the hint: With more effort it could have been 35.

During halftime when you’re ahead by 20, you’re asked, “Why are you guys dogging it?”

Where are you allowed to have any fun, to sit back and enjoy the moment? Now wonder his teams secretly dislike him.

If Riley had been made part-owner of the Knicks, he would have had to fire himself because he wasn’t good enough to win the championship. Right, Pat?
