The Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce is looking for local restaurateurs and artists to participate in a cultural festival this summer at the Civic Arts Plaza Park.
Planned for Aug. 13, the chamber’s “Taste of Conejo & Art in the Park” event will feature painting and sculpture for sale by local artists plus food from restaurants throughout the Conejo Valley.
Organizers hope the event, designed as a showcase for the area’s creative community, will include between 100 and 150 artists and about 30 restaurants representing a wide range of culinary styles.
“We have an enormous resource of creative talent in the Conejo Valley,” said Nancy Lynch, the chamber’s special events coordinator. “This is a great chance for out-of-the-way restaurants and unknown artists to be in the community spotlight.”
Artists’ booths will cost $75. The cost to restaurateurs will be $200 for chamber members, $275 for non-members.
The event is open to restaurants in Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Westlake Village and Agoura Hills.
Restaurateurs outside the Conejo Valley who belong to the chamber may also participate.
Admission is free to the public.
