Ryan Johnson, the starting third baseman for Saddleback College, has accepted a scholarship to play at San Jose State, a Saddleback spokesman said Tuesday. Johnson hit .371 this season with four home runs and 33 runs batted in.

Augie Ojeda of Cypress College and Mark Kotsay of Cal State Fullerton contributed run-scoring singles during a six-run 12th inning and Kotsay picked up the victory in relief as the United States national team defeated Panama, 11-5, in an exhibition baseball game in St. Petersburg, Fla.
