Van Nuys : Man Drowns in His Back-Yard Pool
A 53-year-old Van Nuys man died after he was found by his wife floating face down in his swimming pool Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
The man, whose name was not made public, was sighted by his wife, who had just awakened from a nap, in his pool in the 6100 block of Colbath Avenue about 3:35 p.m., Fire Department spokesman Bob Collis said.
Paramedics tried to revive the man at the house, but failed, and he was declared dead shortly thereafter at Sherman Oaks Hospital. The coroner’s office will determine the cause of death.
