ROLLER HOCKEY : Blades Run Out of Answers as Bullfrogs Make Their Point

Share

The game was about hanging on, and the Los Angeles Blades did that for as long as they could during Thursday night’s 10-4 loss to the Anaheim Bullfrogs at the Forum.

A crowd of 4,389 watched the Blades (6-8-4) score off the opening faceoff, but then got a prime look at why Anaheim (15-2-1) has the best record in the Roller Hockey International league.

The Bullfrogs scored six unanswered goals, beginning with Savo Mitrovic’s score at the 2:22 mark in the second period and ending with Brad Tiley’s goal with 45 seconds gone in the fourth. Anaheim turned a 3-2 deficit into an 8-3 lead before a power-play goal by the Blades’ Andy Akervik at 1:58 in the final period ended the run.
