OUTLOOK

The struggles will likely continue for Katella, which returns only five starters and could start five sophomores. Anderson is expecting a lot from Baldridge, the junior varsity quarterback last year who will move into the starting role this season. “He’s a real talented athlete with above-average passing skills and pretty good running ability,” Anderson said. “He has the ability to turn a loss into a big play.” Baldridge has a couple quick receivers to throw to in Goetz and Welton. The defense and the offensive line are big question marks. “We are two years away from being competitive,” Anderson said. “We will have a young team that will get better as the season goes along.”
