Raymont Harris, the Chicago Bears’ starting fullback, broke his right collarbone three minutes into the team’s season opener against the Minnesota Vikings and is expected to be sidelined eight to 10 weeks.

Tailback Lewis Tillman has a sprained left ankle and may not be able to start against Green Bay next Monday night. Tillman has never missed a game, playing in 105 in a row since entering the NFL in 1989.

If Tillman is unable to start, his place will be taken by rookie Rashaan Salaam, the Heisman Trophy winner from Colorado.

Steve Young, who took a blow to the neck in San Francisco’s season-opening victory at New Orleans, said the pain has diminished and he doesn’t expect to have any lingering problems.

“It feels better than I thought it would,” Young said.

Young sustained the neck sprain when he was sacked by Renaldo Turnbull and missed most of the second quarter before returning to play the second half.
