Walter Knott, founder of Knott’s Berry Farm, showed entrepreneurial spirit early in life.
As a boy living in Pomona, he offered to clean weed-filled lots if the owners would let him grow vegetables on their property. He developed a flourishing vegetable business and eventually joined a cousin in a partnership for a Buena Park berry farm.
