In the Beach Cities Cross-Country Invitational:

Estancia captures championships--Estancia won team titles in the boys’ and girls’ competitions. Aracili Martinez placed first in the girls’ race, finishing the 3.1-mile course at Costa Mesa’s Fairview Park in 22 minutes two seconds. In the boys’ competition, Gerson Salgado finished in 17:58 to take first.

In the Orange girls’ volleyball tournament:

Orange wins title--Orange’s Sunny Lauridsen was named tournament MVP as the Panthers defeated Orange Lutheran in the championship match, 12-15, 15-6, 15-13.

In the boys’ South Coast water polo tournament:

Ninth-ranked Marina beats No. 3 El Toro--Stever O’Rourke scored with 2:19 left to break a 10-10 tie and give Marina the victory and ninth place. The Vikings trailed, 9-7, after three quarters, but rallied to defeat the Chargers.
