Moorpark 6, L.A. Southwest 2--Bryan Wilkins scored on a one-yard run in the second quarter and the Moorpark defense made the touchdown stand up in a WSC South Division game at L.A. Southwest.
Twice in the second half, the Raiders (3-0, 2-0, 1-0) stopped L.A. Southwest drives deep in Moorpark territory.
The Cougars (0-2) had first and goal at the Moorpark five-yard line but turned the ball over on downs.
The Cougars also drove to the Moorpark seven, but Tim Kirksey recovered Akili Roberson’s fumble.
Gary Clemons had 67 yards in 18 carries for Moorpark.
