COLLEGE FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE NATION : Charges Dropped Against Florida Player
Car theft charges against Florida linebacker Jevon Kearse were dropped after investigators determined they had the wrong man.
Adam Gould, an assistant state attorney who handled the case, said Joseph Kearse, 21, Jevon’s brother, would be charged with grand theft auto and obstruction of justice for using a false name.

A pin was inserted into the thumb on the throwing hand of Michigan’s Scott Dreisbach, and he will be in a cast for about four weeks. Brian Griese will start against Miami of Ohio on Saturday.
